My Valentine Window

Well we have had a crazy time around our house which has included going to NYC to meet my husband's daughter! I am planning on blogging about it on our family blog. So needless to say I have been decorating or crafting very much. Well yesterday I decided our house needed some Valentine cheer! I saw this fabulous idea and decided to try it. If you have not read the Homespun Heart, I highly recommend this blog. She is to me the ideal homemaker and her family seems sooo sweet! She also has the links to the great vintage Valentines!
So here is what I did:
STEP 1

Gather your scrapbook paper and vintage images.

STEP 2
Cut out hearts to size you want. I used the cricut and the George cartridge and cut the heart out at 9 inches. Homespun Heart said to used double sided scrapbook paper, which I HIGHLY recommend. I didn't have any so I used two pieces and sewed them together to make them doublesided.

STEP 3

I inked around the edges of the heart to continue with the vintage theme.

STEP 4
I don't have a picture for this but you can refer to Homespun Heart. Cut out your vintage images and glue to your hearts. The fold the hearts in half.
STEP 4.5

Make sure you have a cute (embarrassed) assistant!
STEP 5

Take two of your hearts and sew down the center fold. Punch a hole at the top and this is what you have:

And here is the completed banner. I heart it!
